Sangeet Natak Akademi

The Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Akademi under the aegis of Department of Culture Affairs, Chandigarh Administration had been engaged in the promotion of all the genres of performing arts thereby providing a cultural soul to city beautiful ever since its reorganization wide UT Govt. notification dated 24.4.2005.

With its regd. Office at the State Library Building, Sector-34, Chandigarh, CSNA through its planned activities in phased manner is in the regular process of organizing National and Regional theatre festivals including Children and Street Theatre Festival also in UT villages. Similarly performances of Classical Vocal and Instrumental, Folk Sufi Music by acclaimed maestros as also by local professional and amateur artists are the salient features.

With a view to create awakening among budding art aspirants, relevant and meaningful seminars, workshops and Ru-Ba-Ru interactive session with art celebrities are held to broaden the scope of art disseminations.

CSNA also collaborates with art institutions, NGO’s and amateur music and theatre ensembles to encourage and ensure proliferation of rich Indian cultural heritage.
